COLDPLAY SONIC
Apple have created a consistent style and imagery throughout their ipod marketing campaign: Imagery of a solid colour background in stark contrast with a black figure silhouette.
However, for the Coldplay advert the background colour is broken up featuring clouds ( which could be argued reflect the imagery present on the Coldplay album artwork) and furthermore, the band members are clearly identifiable. The choreography between the colourful graphics and the bands movements create a vivid and memorable backdrop. Interestingly, the ability of digital media means that while Apple are advertising their hardware, Coldplay can also advertise the ability to buy their songs through this digital media. Both parties utilise the popularity of each other which is evident in Apple adopting their consistent imagery to accommodate Coldplay.
