After hearing about the elaborate marketing campaign behind the release of The Dark Knight; one example being the "Why so Serious?" event where fans followed clues hidden around the city of San Diego, another, a fake "Gothem Times" distributed at various events giving insights into the film, I was more than keen to go and see if the new Batman film lived up to expectations. Full of exhilarating energy, style, dramatic action and engaging music, it is understandable how this movie stands to be the film of the year when it can only be described as a masterpiece of cinematography.
I loved this film so much, got me thinking about other films of that genre. Seems hard to categorise it, certainly far more than superhero action adventure.
